Meet Raegan Peters, an applications engineer specializing in thermal oxidizers. Starting as an intern in 2018, Raegan has grown into a full-time engineer who embodies our business’ values. Her collaborative spirit and commitment to excellence help customers navigate complex projects and find tailored solutions. Raegan’s journey highlights the growth opportunities and supportive culture at John Zink, where she contributes to our legacy by embracing innovation and principled entrepreneurship.
I first joined John Zink as an intern in 2018 and came on full time after graduating in 2019. I was first attracted to John Zink because of all the wonderful people I spoke with who really embraced the PBM™ culture.
My primary role is to work with our customers and help them find the right solution for their application. One of my favorite aspects of my role is having conversations with our customers where we collaborate to determine the best approach, especially since each system is unique and complex.
While working at John Zink, I had the chance to help manage a project that I originally sold as an applications engineer. This experience provided me with a comprehensive view of the entire project lifecycle. It enhanced my current role by deepening my understanding of the challenges that can arise during the execution phase of a project. As a result, I am now able to proactively plan and implement mitigation strategies during the sales phase, leading to improved project outcomes.
“One of my favorite aspects of my role is collaborating with customers to determine the best approach, especially since each system is unique and complex.”
– Raegan Peters, Applications Engineer (Thermal Oxidizers)
We are a people-focused business. John Zink’s success is driven by the dedicated individuals who come to work each day motivated to contribute, support one another, and ultimately ensure our customers’ success.
That legacy represents a tradition of excellence, collaboration, and dedication that has been built over time. To me, it’s a source of pride and inspiration, reminding me of the responsibility we have to uphold those standards. I see this legacy continuing through our ongoing commitment to innovation, teamwork, and customer success. Personally, I contribute by bringing my best efforts every day, supporting my colleagues, and always looking for ways to improve and add value to the work we do.
The principle that resonates with me the most is Principled Entrepreneurship™. This concept emphasizes the importance of creating value while acting with integrity and accountability. In my role, I apply this by constantly seeking opportunities to innovate and provide solutions for our customers, while ensuring that those solutions will result in mutually beneficial outcomes.
A personal passion of mine is traveling and exploring new places, and I’ve been fortunate to incorporate this into my work at John Zink. Visiting customers around the world allows me to see unique locations and experience different cultures, which not only enriches my personal life but also helps me build stronger relationships with clients and bring fresh perspectives to the work we do.
The most memorable meal I’ve ever had was at Le Jules Verne, a Michelin-starred restaurant located in the Eiffel Tower. Not only was the food divine (one entire course was cheese and bread), but we also had the most breathtaking view of Paris from high inside the tower!
