Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer

Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer

Meeting Stringent Clean Air Standards.

Regenerative Thermal Oxidizers (RTOs) are suitable for all hydrocarbon compounds. We can design units to withstand corrosive pollutants if necessary, and also allow for recuperative heat recovery of heat produced in the reactor. For polymeric and sticky pollutants, the unit’s service life can be extended with on- or off-line burn-out.

The thermoreactor includes a reactor casing containing three or more heat exchanger sections. Depending on the intended process, ceramic heat transfer material heats the air to be treated up to a maximum of 40/50 °C below the actual reaction temperature.

  • Ultra-low CO2 and Nox emissions
  • Loading: up to 10 g/Nm³
  • Reaction temperature: 800 to 1,000 °C
  • Autothermal operation: from 1.7 g/Nm³, depending on the heating value
  • Rating: 5,000 up tp 250,000 Nm³/h

TruFire® Pilot Burner

TruFire® Pilot Burner

TruFire: Proven In The Most Severe Conditions.

TruFire® electric ignition pilots have been proven in more than 100 installations and are designed to provide safe and reliable performance for thermal oxidizer and burner operation.

  • Uses compressed air to provide 100% premixed fuel for improved stability in high-draft and pressurized applications
  • Safely retractable and removable from the burner even during burner operation (manual and pneumatic retraction)
  • Robust, stable flame ensures burner ignition and flame detection
  • Stainless steel construction to minimize corrosion and maximize service temperature

TruFire UltraFlex: High-Heat Release And Maximum Flexibility.

Easy to install and able to reliably light in wet conditions, our TruFire® UltraFlex pilot and burner provides reliable performance as both pilot ignition and a high-heat release option for overall system flexibility. Our innovative high-heat release gives you the ability to fill the gap between burner turndown and typical output of the pilot, providing a better way to fine-tune your system’s performance. The TruFire pilot is made with stainless steel to minimize corrosion and its flexible design offers your choice of a fixed or retractable system. In addition, the system allows you to add a sightport or even a scanner directly to the pilot for safe, reliable flame verification.

Due to its flexible heat release option, the TruFire UltraFlex can be used in a wide range of applications, including:

  • Start-up burner
  • Refractory cureout burner + Burner pilot
  • Gas / air preheater burner

  • Waste disposal

Air Heaters.

Designed with compact steel construction, KEU indirect and direct-fired heaters feature low-weight and reduced-space requirements, in addition to improved heating and cooling performance compared to heaters using ceramic refractory materials.

Convection & Radiation Recuperators.

We offer expert heat recovery solutions for a variety of applications. Our experienced engineers provide exact thermic design, optimal temperature control, and an in-depth knowledge of corrosion dangers and thermal processes, ensuring effective and efficient performance in a reliable, long-lasting system.

Convection recuperators are used for heat recovery downstream of industrial furnaces, incinerators and in-process engineering processes where high-temperature exhaust gasses are produced.

Radiation recuperators are best suited for the highest waste gas temperatures in systems where exhaust gasses have high dust concentrations, such as forging furnaces, melting furnaces, glass melters and kilns.

Sulfur Recovery Units

Sulfur Recovery Units

Proven SRU Performance for Seamless System Integration.

JZHC can supply all necessary equipment for fired processes within the Claus Sulfur Recovery Unit, including single Acid Gas Burners, Reaction Furnaces, In-Line Heaters, Reducing Gas Generators and Tail Gas Incinerator packages. We work both through appointed Licensors for the Claus SRU process and independently, providing complete process design and supply for all the fired equipment in the sulfur recovery unit.

Our proven High Intensity (HI) Burners are ideal for applications including acid gas reaction furnaces, process heaters and boilers, CO and hydrogen synthesis, inert gas generation, and low-NOx performance on NOxidizer® systems. The advanced spin-vane assembly and burner design creates a high-intensity mixing zone while providing a stable flame. HI burners can be designed as an “insert” for retrofit applications with minimal fieldwork.

  • Flexible fuel capacity (either liquid or gas)
  • Ability to meet turndown requirements up to 10-to-1
  • Airflow is controlled for optimum H2S/SO conversion
  • Can be used in Oxygen Enrichment applications
  • Operates at sub-stoichiometric conditions with no soot formation
  • Maximize destruction efficiency of acid gas contaminants

Ultra Low NOx Burners

Ultra Low NOx Burners

Ultra-High Performance.

Rapid Mix Burner (RMB™).

Our RMB system delivers ultra-low emissions for tail gas NOx more affordably than SCRs. A proven alternative to the catalytic control of NOx emissions for the past two decades, the Rapid Mix Burner cuts both costs and space requirements. It’s shown proven success operating at 1,500°F (816°C) with NOx emissions of 7.2 ppm @ 3% O2, dry (~0.03 lbs/ MMBtu).

KEU™ Combustor™.

This leading combustion system features a burner and reaction chamber designed as a single, compact unit. Waste air resp. waste gases are mixed intensively with the fuel and incinerated in a high-turbulence vortex flow. A central clean gas return ensures high flame stability.
